 DSE WORKSTATION  ASSESSMENT

DSE Assessment

Understanding how to stay healthy at your desk is important and a requirement by law.
Employers guide your people to work in an optimal position and be aware of potential MSK and stress related issues that arise as a result of an non-compliant desktop setup.

If workers use display screen equipment (DSE) daily, as part of their normal work, continuously for an hour or more, employers are legally required to provide a workstation assessment.

We offer a variety of assessments from workstation to sit stand desks and all our DSE assessments are carried out by trained DSE assessors.

We will aim to resolve as many issues within our 20 minute assessment, with any more difficult issues being reported as part of our checklist.

Employers should look at:
  • the whole workstation, including equipment, furniture, and work conditions
  • the job being done
  • any special requirements of a member of staff, for example a user with a disability
  • Where there are risks, they should take steps to reduce them.

Employers MUST  provide  an assessment when:
  • a new workstation is set up
  • a new user starts work
  • a change is made to an existing workstation or the way it’s used
  • users complain of pain or discomfort

Advanced Assessments

  • 1-2-1 Postural assessments
  • Fit to Sit workshops

90% of all clients I have treated over 20 years in my sports massage clinic have been a result of poor posture'

Weak muscles, poor core strength and long hours in unsupported positions leads to muscle pain, back and neck issues.

Encourage your staff to take appropriate breaks, move and build a core level of functional fitness to prevent MSK issues and injuries.

An expensive supportive chair will only support a weak body for a short time.
